A result of growth, they are hiring a Sales Support – Order Entry Representative to join their team of tenured employees. This role is ideal for a customer-focused individual that has order entry experience from a distribution environment, in addition to excellent communication and organizational skills and computer literacy. This role requires a car for frequent travel to the Hamilton area (mileage compensated).

Responsibilities

• Oversee orders entered into the system to ensure accuracy and timely turn-around
• Address any issues concerning product availability, pricing or delivery and communicate status updates to customer
• Source, order and process non-stock items with various suppliers
• Update customer information in system
• Check accuracy of shipments and enter receiving purchase orders into the ERP system
• Prepare weekly inventory reports
• Assist colleagues with inquiries and provide back-up to customer service team as needed
• The incumbent may be asked to unpack cartons and distribute stock ‘when required’

Qualifications

• 3-5 years of sales and/or customer support and order generating/processing experience (preferably distribution environment)
• Above-average data entry skills, requiring a high level of accuracy and attention to detail
• Computer proficiency in MS Office including Excel
• Exceptional communication skills; role will require frequent customer contact
• Ability to multi-task and handle multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment
• Valid driver’s license and use of personal vehicle for work (mileage is compensated)
• Any knowledge of industrial supplies including electrical, plumbing, HVAC or sanitation and cleaning products is considered an asset
