Are you a Tax professional with some experience in Tax Planning who is looking to work for a dynamic organization that will offer you a challenge and career growth within tax or long-term within corporate Finance or operations?  Our client in the Kitchener area is looking to hire a Senior Tax Planning & Advisory Manager who will spend 40% of their time on Tax Planning and Special Projects due diligence acquisition work, 20% on tax advisory services, 10% on tax related process innovation and 30% on Operational compliance.  This is a role that adds significant value to the business and works cross functionally with legal, Finance and operations.  This role reports into The Director of Tax and is part of a 8 person tax team.

  • Lead tax planning and special projects
  • Lead acquisition structure and due diligence reviews
  • Ensure that the income tax implications and optimal tax treatment is appropriately assessed
  • Advise on tax implications and understand current and emerging business requirements, needs and issues
  • Lead and execute delivery of tax consulting for budget, capital management and other special projects
  • Review and develop process innovation for the income tax team
  • Lead compliance for all acquisitions
  • Support the tax team in other projects as required


  • In order to be considered you must have experience in tax from a public accounting firm ideally 3 plus years of experience and some experience in tax planning
  • You must have or be working towards in-depth tax
  • If you are currently working at a public accounting firm you should be at the manager level or up for promotion to manager
  • You must really enjoy problem solving and dealing with complex challenges
