Our client, a holding company with multiple investments located in the Vaughan/York area has an immediate requirement for a Director of Finance. This is an exciting opportunity to join a great team and use your experience working within multiple disciplines in finance to contribute to the overall strength and profitability of the organization.  Primary focuses for this role will include Treasury, Financial Reporting, Tax Planning for a private company and M&A activities.

  • Maintaining financial and accounting records and produce regular financial reporting packages
  • Manage accounts payable and receivable as well as cash and working capital needs
  • Treasury and related functions including banking relationships and debt financing arrangements, execution of currency trades, currency hedging as well as credit facility draws and repayments
  • Manage financial covenants for loans and other reporting requirements
  • Establish, improve and maintain proper internal controls
  • Management of all external reviews and audits for tax and/or reporting
  • Responsible for tax compliance and participation in tax planning
  • Negotiating bank loans, terms, and leases
  • Oversee The accounting and reporting on all investments as well as handling FP&A work related to investments
  • M&A Modelling, analysis and integration work


  • Qualified CPA and/or CFA, MBA
  • 5+ years working in privately held holding companies or family office or working in a senior capacity at a privately held, family run business
  • 5+ years experience leading the financial reporting and audit processes
  • Strong background in treasury, hedging, credit facilities, debt financing, bank negotiations
  • Experience with tax planning for a private company and family owned businesses
  • Some experience in M&A Modelling, analysis and integration would be considered an asset
