    Our manufacturing client has an immediate opening at their distribution facility located in Hamilton.  They are looking for a General Manager – responsible for the day-to-day operations (overseeing facility staff and sales, warehouse, safety and inventory control) – and accountable for the financial performance of the facility.  This position would best suit a strong leader with 8+ years of supervisory, P&L, sales and operations experience from a manufacturing/distribution environment.

    • Responsible for all departments within the facility, including office, sales, warehouse and yard
    • Accountable for facility P&L, budgets, inventory and staffing
    • Review, analyze, and respond to daily/weekly/monthly data related to sales and operational KPI’s
    • Manage and motivate the performance of facility employees by conducting regular performance reviews, offering training and learning opportunities and setting individual and team goals
    • Support strong business relationships with customers, focusing on offering the best customer service experience at all times
    • Work closely with sales team to drive sales and proactively respond to market indicators related to products, pricing and availability


    • Minimum 8 years of progressive experience within a manufacturing/distribution environment
    • Minimum 5 years of leadership/management experience with multiple direct reports
    • P&L and budgeting experience
    • Sales experience preferred
    • Exceptional communication skills, at the team and executive levels
    • Post secondary diploma/degree in business, supply chain or similar field of study
    • Strong computer proficiency – able to extract, manipulate and analyse data
    • Valid drivers license (clean abstract will be required)
