    Our client is a Canadian success story in the CPG market, and they have a newly created position, Senior Manager of Accounts Receivable & Collections. This is an exciting opportunity, National in scope as head of Credit and AR with one of Canada’s largest CPG companies. The successful candidate will report into the VP Finance, manage a team of 15 and have an opportunity to shape policies and the direction of Credit and AR for the entire company.

    • Manage credit and collections personnel to agreed performance levels
    • Organize workflow and process activities to maximize departmental productivity and cash flow
    • Design and implement processes to improve cash flow and reduce receivables
    • Measure and report weekly and monthly on department A/R performance with appropriate metrics
    • Work with Finance and IT to develop consolidated, automated reporting and support timely business analysis and issue identification
    • Works collaboratively with Sales to resolve customer issues with collections (and maintain or improve days sales outstanding)
    • Monitor deductions being taken by customers and resolve issues – partnering with Sales, Customer Service (invoicing) and Supply Chain
    • Supports company Sales efforts by with credit support that maximizes revenue while minimizing risk
    • Network with industry peers and leverage credit reporting service to minimize credit risk


    • Post-Secondary education in Business coupled with Credit designation
    • 10+ years of experience in Credit Management, ideally in a CPG environment with experience working with retail stores and Supermarkets of relatable customers
    • Effective communication skills and proven ability to establish rapport and maintain relationships
    • Strong business acumen and demonstrated ability to adhere to deadlines and achieve goals and objectives
    • Strong people leadership skills with demonstrated ability to mentor and develop people while managing a large team
    • Effective at working with key stakeholders from across the organization, specifically, sales and supply chain team members and
    • Proven ability to manage conflict, coupled with the ability to work collaboratively
